Mawingu now connects 31 counties across Kenya, providing affordable and meaningful Internet to over 28,000 homes and businesses.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, Mawingu continues to expand its infrastructure to bridge connectivity gaps in underserved regions.
The ISP aims to positively impact 1,000,000 Africans by 2028 through meaningful Internet access.
Internet Service Provider (ISP) Mawingu has announced the expansion of its network to Eldoro in Taita Taveta County, bringing affordable and reliable Internet access to households, learning institutions, and businesses in the region.
Speaking on the expansion, Mawingu Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Farouk Ramji, said:
“Our entry into Eldoro is another step forward in our mission to make meaningful connectivity accessible to more Kenyans. We are excited to serve the people of Eldoro by empowering them with fast, reliable Internet that supports education, business, and daily life.”
Mawingu’s continued expansion is part of its broader goal to bridge Kenya’s digital divide by connecting towns and rural areas that have historically been underserved by other providers.
“Our purpose is to open opportunities for every home and business we connect, helping individuals and communities tap into the knowledge, networks, and economic potential that come with being connected,” Mr. Ramji added.
In addition to expanding to new regions, Mawingu continues to invest in upgrading its network infrastructure to improve speed and quality of service in existing markets.
Mr. Ramji emphasized:
“We remain committed to our mid-term growth strategy of expanding our footprint to more counties while maintaining high standards of reliability and affordability. Our goal is to ensure that every connection we make creates real, lasting impact.”
With the addition of Eldoro, Mawingu reinforces its position as one of Kenya’s leading providers of meaningful Internet connectivity; one that continues to reach new frontiers, community by community.
